Theoretically the legislative,
executive and judicial powers are all in the hands of the monarch
as indicated by the expressions ‘King/Queen in Council’,
‘King/Queen in Parliament’ and ‘King/Queen in Law’. Through
devolution, the sovereign transfers his/her powers to Parliament,
the Cabinet and the judges respectively. |
